The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) was formed in 1982 in order to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. A nonprofit organization, the MLBPAA establishes a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the field can continue long after they take their last steps off the professional diamond.

Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to New Zealand

Free youth baseball clinics will be led by former MLB pitcher Jim KaatColorado Springs, Colo. – New Zealand youth will have an opportunity to play with former Minnesota Twins star Jim Kaat at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series. During the first few weeks of January, Kaat will be joined in his efforts by current New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius. This will be the MLBPAA’s first trip to New Zealand since the Legends for Youth baseball clinic series’ induction. Kaat pitched in the Major Leagues for parts of 25 seasons,
