Tchenguiz laywer: Interview/Comment

Sarosh Zaiwalla, Senior Partner of Zaiwalla & Co acted for the Tchenguiz brothers and is happy to comment about this raid and the SFO operation. He comments: “There exists a serious possibility that the Tchenguiz brothers could well succeed with their claim for misrepresentation against Kaupthing for their losses of USD 1.6 billion. The brothers have been released without charge which suggests that the SFO may not have found evidence against them. The SFO’s investigation is not an assumption of guilt in any way. The SFO has been brought in presumably at the request of the Icelandic government who want to find out why and for what reasons Kaupthing Bank went bankrupt.
