Uppsala Energi choose Mandator for electronic documentation handling system Uppsala Energi has ordered a system for electronic documentation handling. The amount of the order is more than million 2 SEK. Uppsala Energi AB produces, distributes and sells electricity, district heating, steam, and coolness. Uppsala Energi, which is wholly owned by Uppsala town district, has electricity customers all over Sweden and is now about to introduce an electronic documentation handling system as a step in their quality operation with adjustments and certifications towards ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 and EMAS-registration. Within Uppsala Energi a large amount of documents are produced and handled. It is of great importance that they are able to reach, with high security, the large amount of documents that always have to be available and present within the company. This shall be done with the assistance of an electronic system for documentation handling. The solution that will be implemented is built on the standard product DOCS Open from PC Docs in the US for documentation control and DOCS Imaging and DOCS Routing for scanning and documentation flows. Rocket Link/ReView, from ExoVision for handling of drawings in the same way as other documents; are also included in the system. Many users will search and find documents through their standard web browser. Overall ambition to Uppsala Energi is to get a system for documentation handling that is known to be easy to use, is flexible and developable, gives fast and safe access to documents and that it is able to be integrated with other systems within the company. The system is a good example of Mandator's use of solution concepts.
