Federal-Mogul Powertrain named as one of Volkswagen Group Award Winners 2016
Recognition for sustained supplier excellence, in particular for the delivery of pistons, piston rings, bearings and valves
Southfield, Mich., 14 June 2016 … Federal-Mogul Powertrain, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: FDML) has achieved success at the 2016 Volkswagen Group Awards. The prestigious recognition has been earned by sustained supplier excellence, in particular as a development partner for the new EA288evo and the EA211evo engines by delivery of pistons, piston rings, bearings and valves for the vehicle manufacturer group.
The Group Award presented by Matthias Müller, CEO of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, and Dr. Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz, Member of the Group Board of Management responsible for Procurement, recognises innovative strength, product quality, technical expertise, flexible delivery performance, global presence and professional global project management.

At the award event it was stated that, following an extensive evaluation and judging process, Federal-Mogul Powertrain’s position as a highly competitive technology leader operating a global footprint and collaborative attitude further contributed towards its category success. Each year Volkswagen Group honours its best suppliers for their entrepreneurial performance during the previous year. This year 21 companies were recognised with the Group Award. More than 240 guests from 24 countries were in attendance at the now customary annual awards day.
