Innovative electronic actuator for individual throttle bodies at international motor sport show

Bridgnorth, UK, 15th October 2015... Leading innovator of fuel injection throttle body and induction systems, Jenvey Dynamics Ltd., will be exhibiting and presenting at the Professional MotorSport World Expo 2015, from 11-13 November in Cologne, Germany. Mike Jenvey, Managing Director, will present a paper on the company’s new electronic throttle actuator (ETA) system on Thursday 12 November at 12:00 as part of a technology workshop, alongside companies such as McLaren Applied Technologies and Xtrac.

Jenvey’s paper, entitled ‘Electronic control of individual fuel injection throttle bodies’, will detail the benefits for race car and engine builders and professional race teams, in providing a modular electronic throttle actuator to fit individual throttle body (ITB) systems. The British engineering company will also share experience from implementation of the system on its development vehicle where features, such as autoblip for paddle shifting, have been particularly valuable.

“Our ETA system for ITBs offers significant functionality advantages over traditional alternatives,” explains Jenvey. “It provides durability, packaging and weight-saving advantages over OE alternatives and, at £495, is also cheaper and more robust than complex, bespoke fly-by-wire variants. Our technical support team are available to offer customers assistance with installation and other queries.”

Because the unit is modular and highly configurable, it is compatible with a large range of aftermarket ITB kits for road or race applications and, once installed, provides fit-and-forget operation. Besides launch control and paddle shifting, the unit provides enhanced idle control (especially during warm up), traction control, anti-lag, switchable pedal maps, controllable push-to-pass strategy, pit lane speed control and variable bank-to-bank control.

Jenvey Dynamics will showcase the ETA system alongside its other products on stand number 3006 in Hall 7 of the Koeln Messe and Mike Jenvey will be available throughout the show to discuss potential applications of the company’s technology.
