Leading tax planning and advisory firm, OneE Group has announced a series of free informative, nationwide seminars in September and early October. Examining the crucial distinction between responsible statutory relief-based tax planning and abusive tax avoidance, the sessions will guide attendees through the risks of schemes, the new promotion rules, and how they affect both accountants and their clients.

Hosted in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Cardiff from 16 September to 1 October, the events will present a range of responsible tax planning areas that maximise the statutory reliefs available to clients.

Dominic Slattery, managing director at OneE Group, says: “If you’re on the wrong side of tax legislation, you run the risk of being hit by the new rules and regulations for promoters of tax avoidance schemes (POTAS) and high risk promoters.

“During each event, our experts, including guest speaker Ben Elliott from Pump Court Tax Chambers, will break down the new rules, as well as HMRC's powers under insolvency legislation, and examine the importance of staying on the right side of the line. This latest series of free seminars highlights our commitment to sharing our expertise with our introducers and helping others abide by the new legislation.”

Comprising five sessions, each seminar will cover: rules on POTAS and high risk promoters; OneE tax bites (a short non-technical overview of OneE Group’s popular tax planning opportunities); APNs, follower notices and insolvency; capital allowances and R&D advice; plus an overview of OneE Group’s incentivised Authorised Introducer (AI) membership.
