Palletline hooks up eight new hauliers
Leading UK palletised distribution specialist, Palletline is thrilled to announce that three members have taken up full shareholder status and five hauliers have joined the network since the start of the year.
The expansion gives Palletline greater nationwide capacity and capability than ever before and sees DW Clark & Sons, Castledene Transport and Doccombe Global Logistics invest in the network to become full shareholder members.
East West Transport, Boughey Distribution, Laser Transport International, Express Freight Services and H&R Gray also joined the network and were fully operational in time for the peak Easter period with another haulier planning to kick-start Palletline operations in April.
Palletline managing director, Graham Leitch said the news strengthens the network regionally and nationally enhancing its ability to deliver an excellent service for members and their customers.
“Here at Palletline, everything we do centres around our members and we always go the extra mile to help them in in all areas of business from improving efficiencies to landing new contracts. This is clearly being noticed by hauliers across the UK, so we are thrilled to be welcoming these eight fantastic companies to the Palletline network.
“The stronger the network grows the more scope we have to collaborate and improve services for members and customers. With 72 quality members we now have our greatest ever UK-wide capability and what we think is the best coverage of Scotland among the pallet networks, so this is a fantastic start to the year and a key staging post in our plans for the network.”
Palletline is a nationwide, cooperative network with more than 6,000 staff 12,000 vehicles, and access to over five million square feet of warehousing space.
Darren Clark, general manager at DW Clark & Sons said: “Having worked with Palletline since August, our business has been nothing short of transformed – everything works extremely smoothly, we have full visibility of goods through the intuitive IT systems and every element of the service is excellent.
“With all hauliers pulling in the same direction, communicating on the key issues and voting in changes, we really have a say in the direction of the business. Joining Palletline has to be the best thing we’ve ever done for both us and our customers so we are thrilled that we are now a full shareholder member.”
Graham concludes: “As a member-owned network, companies that join us gain a stake in our highly profitable business, giving them a further revenue stream. We pride ourselves on the quality of our membership, and the fact that our members own 100% of the business.
“Moving forwards we are keen to speak to potential member companies about the support we offer which can help them win business, reduce costs and boost profits.”
