How the Carbon Gets in.

Balance your own carbon footprint when visiting a festival this Summer.

Many people ask “How sustainable am I?

To put it bluntly,

If you live in the UK, or any first world country you will be having a detrimental effect on the environment.

Just take a minute to think about your impacts before visiting a festival this summer.

Starting at home:

  • Do you drive, or take public transport?
  • Do you pack a lunch or stop en route at a chain store?
  • Refill or plastic bottles?
  • Maybe it is the music you have come for, where have the musicians flown in from?
  • What food will you go for? Vegetarian, Organic?

But is that your fault?

Shouldn’t it be in the ticket price to balance your part of the carbon footprint of the festival? Or should you decide to balance yours another way?

You’re doing enough to balance your own life!

Let’s just suggest that you want to enjoy yourself guilt free, impossible, right?

Here at 9trees we are celebrating a better way to balance your carbon footprint and we are showcasing it here at this year’s How The Light Gets In Festival.

9Trees Director Michael Cunningham, 37, will be on hand throughout the festival to answer any questions.

“It is a pleasure for 9trees to be represented at this year’s How The Light Gets In Festival

9trees has been working hard to put together a unique experience for festival goers that educates and informs as well as delivering the opportunity to help everyone to take their first steps in understanding their own carbon footprint.”

About 9Trees

https://www.9trees.org/

9Trees are a not-for-profit organisation. Income is reinvested into training, education and management of the woodlands created through subscriptions.

Rather than selling carbon credits, 9Trees are creating carbon sinks in the form of professionally managed broadleaf woodlands for wildlife and people. Their philosophy is simple; Plant 9 trees per person, per year, to help balance one individual’s personal carbon footprint.

By planting the right trees in the right place, 9Trees also promote biodiversity and enhance habitat corridors. Each tree is geolocated, keeping subscribers up to date with their progress until maturity.

Over the years you will have many woodlands you can visit throughout the UK.

9Trees also promotes jobs and skills within the local countryside and woodland sector by bringing communities together to create woodlands that benefit people and wildlife. 9Trees are for nature, wellbeing, rural Jobs and working to balance the UK’s carbon footprint.

9Trees is supported by experts working all over the UK in various capacities, a real team effort. This Pro-bono support is greatly appreciated by Ash and Mike, helping us plant 100,000 trees in the coming years.
