For immediate release.

9Trees.org will be proudly commemorating the King's Coronation, by planting 9 trees in every county of the United Kingdom, allowing everyone the chance to pay homage to this historic event and its importance to the nation.

We hope that these trees will flourish every May, serving as a living reminder of the coronation's anniversary and the enduring legacy of the UK's monarchy. This initiative is a reflection of our commitment to honouring British heritage and celebrating the rich tapestry of the UK's cultural identity.

The coronation of King Charles III is a significant event that represents a new chapter in British history. By planting these trees, Michael Cunningham and his team are honouring this historic occasion and showing their commitment to safeguarding the natural world for future generations.

In addition to planting 9 trees in every county of the United Kingdom, 9Trees.org is encouraging landowners to join in on the celebration by offering space for these trees to grow and thrive, landowners can contribute greatly to the preservation of the country's natural heritage.

Planting diverse native trees on private land can create areas for wildlife to flourish and increase biodiversity. This is not only beneficial for the environment but also adds value to the property. The trees serve as a carbon sink and increase air quality while also providing a beautiful landscape for the community to enjoy.

Furthermore, landowners have the opportunity to choose native species that are suitable to their geographical area and can consult with 9Trees.org to ensure the chosen trees are best suited for the local ecology. This ensures the growth of healthy trees that have a positive impact on the overall ecosystem.

The trees that will be planted include a variety of species, such as Rowan, Willow, Oak, Cherry, Hawthorn, Hazel, Field Maple, Hornbeam and Silver Birch. Each species has its unique qualities and characteristics, and together they form a powerful symbol of the natural world.

This project is indicative of 9Trees’ commitment to creating a better future through environmentalism. By investing in this kind of work, the organisation hopes to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and building a more vibrant and sustainable world for all.

Michael Cunningham Director of 9trees said:

“We are proud to be part of this historic moment and hope that our efforts will contribute to the long-term preservation of Britain's natural heritage. We invite landowners across the country to join us in celebrating King Charles III coronation and help create a legacy that will last for generations to come.”

About 9Trees

https://www.9trees.org/

9Trees are a not-for-profit organisation. Income is reinvested into training, education and management of the woodlands created through subscriptions.

Rather than selling carbon credits, 9Trees are creating carbon sinks in the form of professionally managed broadleaf woodlands for wildlife and people. Their philosophy is simple; Plant 9 trees per person, per year, to help balance one individual’s personal carbon footprint.

By planting the right trees in the right place, 9Trees also promote biodiversity and enhance habitat corridors. Each tree is geolocated, keeping subscribers up to date with their progress until maturity.

9Trees contines to create amazing shelterbelts, habitat corridors as well as nature reserves, this is all possible by forging relationships with landowners all over the UK, offering them a free service that will see the UK once more rich in biodiversity.

9Trees also promotes jobs and skills within the local countryside and woodland sector by bringing communities together to create woodlands that benefit people and wildlife. 9Trees are for nature, wellbeing, rural Jobs and working to balance the UK’s carbon footprint.

9Trees is supported by experts working all over the UK in various capacities, a real team effort. This Pro-bono support is greatly appreciated by Ash and Mike, helping us plant 100,000 trees in the coming years.
