Marl highlights concept to manufacturing service
Ulverston, UK, 17 July 2013. Marl International, a UK leader in the design and manufacture of LED lighting and indicators for the defence industry, will be launching its extended range of NVIS (Night VISion Image Sensor) LED Indicators on its stand at DSEI (13-16 September, ExCeL, London, N9-400). Marl will also present its concept to manufacturing services, and showcase its innovative defence and security indication and lighting solutions.
The new range of Marl NVIS 697 series LED indicators emit NVG compatible light of NVIS radiance fully compliant with MIL-STD-3009 allowing them to be seen by operators wearing military night vision goggles. They are available in four colours, NVIS Yellow B, Red B, Green B and Green A. The indicators benefit from an exceptionally high degree of EMC protection, with an internal stainless steel mesh behind the lens to provide continuity of screening as well as a conductive black chrome housing and panel seal. Also on the stand will be the established Marl 677 and 677 EMC series of defence-grade LED indicators offered in red, yellow, green, blue and cool white in 12V and 24-28V versions with an internal reverse protection diode fitted as standard.
At the exhibition Marl will provide ample information on the company’s wide range of services, including the ‘concept to manufacturing’ service, a complete product creation and realisation package for non-technical businesses who need to introduce a technology based product. The service is equally applicable to general electronic control and display systems as to those making use of LED lighting. Customers using the service will benefit from Marl’s considerable investment in its prototyping and volume manufacturing facilities in Ulverston, Cumbria, which includes a newly-refurbished electro-mechanical assembly line.
Marl’s stand at DSEI features a host of innovative defence grade LED lighting and indication products that provide robust and efficient solutions for military vehicles, aircraft, marine vessels and other applications. These will include its rugged infra-red LED assembly allowing military vehicle crews to see clearly whatever the ambient light conditions. Other products on the stand will include, LED panel lamps and bespoke indication and lighting solutions.
