Marratech Launches Marratech Pro 3.1 - A New Software Solution For Web Based E-Meetings And Conferences [Stockholm, Sweden, March 26, 2002.] The Scandinavian software company Marratech has launched version 3.1 of its software solution for Internet based virtual meetings and conferences ('e-meetings'), Marratech Pro 3.1. Marratech develops and markets software for e-meetings, i.e. meetings over the Internet. New features in version 3.1 include Microsoft Office document import functionality, Internet Explorer integration, Linux and Windows XP support and improved support for new USB web cameras. Furthermore, version 3.1 has been optimised both for performance and memory usage. The new software solution Marratech Pro 3.1 is a client software which is installed on the users' computers and is used together with any of Marratech's portal solutions for e.g. virtual meetings and conferences, virtual work places and projects et al. The number of participants is limitless and the users can communicate with each other via IP telephony, video, graphics and documents from their respective workstations. Documents, texts, graphics etc can be visualized, edited and discussed via the computer in an interactive manner. Marratech Pro 3.1 is used together with any of Marratech's portal solutions, either Marratech E-meeting Portal (a turn key solution) or Marratech Enterprise Architecture solution (for network operators and larger customers) The combined strengths of the new software and business solutions are the associated customer value and user friendliness together with the security, network efficiency and easy handling of firewalls. This is accomplished by 128 bits encryption, a flexible use of IP multicast/unicast and intelligent handling of Network Address Translation (NAT). "The market for web based conferences is growing by 65 per cent per year, which clearly indicates that consumers have realised the huge potential in increased work efficiency offered by these solutions, e.g. better and swifter contacts with your colleagues, customers and suppliers", said Petri Markkanen, CEO, Marratech.
