Zound Industries increases net sales by 16 percent during the second quarter 2019

During the second quarter of 2019, net sales for Zound Industries amounted to MSEK 494.8, corresponding to an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period last year and by 11 percent in local currencies.

“It is pleasing to see that we are growing in many of our key markets and with a larger proportion of sales coming from a new generation of products. We are continuing to scale up our operations, and to invest in both products and the organisation in order to enable the growth we expect in the coming years”, comments Martin Axhamre, CFO and acting CEO, Zound Industries.

Events during the quarter

  • Marshall launched the next generation of portable speakers, Stockwell II, Kilburn II and the new speaker Tufton.
  • Urbanears launched its first over-ear headphone Pampas and the portable speaker Rålis.
  • Gustaf Rosell was recruited to the position as Innovation Director.
  • The Annual General Meeting 2019 took place on 23 May in Stockholm. Jonathan Forster was elected as new member of the board of directors.
