Recent Partnership with Northwest Analytics Expands MAVERICK’s SPC and Data Analysis Offerings

CHICAGO (July 23, 2013) — MAVERICK Technologies, the largest independent systems integrator in North America, announced today the release of its latest white paper Putting SPC to Work in Manufacturing: Reducing Variability and Increasing Productivity.” The new report provides educational information for manufacturers on the powerful benefits of statistical process control (SPC) software, covering how to avoid process failures, reduce variability and bolster continuous improvement innovation by gaining better access to real-time data and comparative analysis tools.

“Most manufacturers have a continuous improvement program, such as Six Sigma or lean manufacturing, but it can be difficult to assess the program’s true impact without SPC,” said John Clemons, director of manufacturing IT at MAVERICK and author of the white paper. “Integrating SPC into daily operations allows for businesses to avoid process failures, reduce variability and bolster continuous improvement initiatives through better access to real-time data and comparative analysis tools.”

On June 11, 2013, MAVERICK entered a partnership with Northwest Analytics (NWA), a statistical process control (SPC) software provider. The partnership offers manufacturers a singular opportunity to take advantage of both areas of expertise by implementing comprehensive and fully integrated statistical process control and enterprise manufacturing intelligence solutions. The white paper, developed in support of the recent partnership with NWA, concentrates on real-time and historical analyses that identify opportunities for improvement and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions.

“SPC helps manufacturers avoid failures. Fewer failures reduce quality issues and prevent scrap and rework. Ultimately, SPC helps reduce process variability, which reduces product variability and improves product consistency. And, SPC helps with just about any aspect of continuous improvement,” Clemons said.

“Putting SPC to Work in Manufacturing: Reducing Variability and Increasing Productivity” is the latest white paper available in MAVERICK’s ever-expanding resource library, the result of an ongoing effort to build and share a foundation of automation and control expertise.
