February 27 , 2013 Missoula, MT – Over 14 regional McDonald’sÒ Owner Operators across five different states have collaborated to support and sponsor the Frontier Conference, a collegiate athletic conference, which is a member of the National Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA).

In light of this new partnership, the Frontier Conference has named Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) the official charity of the 2013 Men’s and women’s Basketball Playoffs.

Colleges and universities aligned with the Frontier Conference span across a large geographic region. Each school will partner with the corresponding local RMHC to develop fundraisers, generate support and build awareness towards the humanitarian efforts that Ronald McDonald House Charities have been providing for decades.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring together these two very treasured entities. – Say’s Bill Himmelberg III, President of McDonald’s Big Sky Co-Op. Supporting our local Ronald McDonald Houses while concurrently supporting collegiate sports in our region is something our communities deserve. We are very proud to be a part of this.”

“Kent Paulson, Frontier Conference Commissioner- “The Frontier Conference has hit a “Home Run” by teaming-up with the regional McDonald’s & Ronald McDonald House Charities. The student-athlete’s in our league receive so much in the form of great educations and community support at our 12 colleges and universities that when an opportunity to give back to such a worthwhile cause comes, our young people will jump at the opportunity to help. On behalf of all in the Frontier Conference I want to thank each of the McDonald’s owners and operators and in particular, Bill Himmelberg for the endless hours that he and others have put into this project to make it a reality”.

This partnership brings together communities spanning from Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah and North Dakota. It’s a first of its kind relationship for the regional McDonald’s Owner Operators, The NAIA and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
