MCF advised Patria on selling its subsidiary, Patria Pilot Training, to Airways Aviation
MCF Corporate Finance is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Patria, a Finnish defence and technology company, on the sale of its subsidiary, Patria Pilot Training Oy (“Patria Pilot Training”), to UAE-based Airways Aviation Group (“Airways Aviation”).
Patria Pilot Training is a leading provider of professional civilian pilot training, operating in Tampere and Vantaa, Finland, and Córdoba, Spain. This transaction highlights MCF’s expertise in advising on cross-border M&A in the aviation and technology sectors.
The Deal
Airways Aviation, a global aviation education and training organization headquartered in the UAE, has operations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Effective 1 February 2025, all employees, operations, and training courses of Patria Pilot Training will transfer to Airways Aviation. The operations will be rebranded as Airways Aviation Nordic, strengthening the group's presence in the Nordic region.
The Target
Patria Pilot Training provides professional civilian pilot training in Tampere and Vantaa, Finland, and Córdoba, Spain, employing 35 staff across the three locations.
