Abilia acquires Cognita AS

MedCap (publ) has, through its subsidiary Abilia, signed an agreement to acquire the company Cognita AS (“Cognita”). The transaction has an important value to Abilia, that has a leading position in assistive technology in the Nordics, by strengthening and broadening the position within digital assistive products.

Cognita has since many years established a strong position in assistive products in Norway. The company’s turnover in 2021 was 15 mNOK with good profitability. Abilia pays 12 mNOK in cash on closing, which is planned for June 1, 2022. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on MedCap’s earnings per share.
