MediTeam to market Osstell in Europe

MediTeam to market Osstelltm in Europe MediTeam has today signed a provisional agreement with the dental development company Integration Diagnostics Ltd. in respect of cooperation and sales of the company's product Osstelltm. Osstelltm is a method of measuring implant stability. The technique is the only one of its kind, uniquely providing quantitative measurements of how well a dental implant is healing. Over a hundred of Europe's leading implant clinics have bought Osstelltm since its launch in autumn 2000 and the instrument has been extremely well received. The arrangement means that MediTeam will market and sell Osstelltm in major markets in Europe. MediTeam will also provide Integration Diagnostics with certain head office functions, allowing the costs of these to be spread over more products. There are currently around 100,000 dentists working with dental implants worldwide, around 20,000 of whom may be considered relatively experienced users. One of the most important issues for them is to cut down the healing period from the time the implant is inserted until the patient can be given his or her replacement teeth. Another important need is to discover implant losses at an early stage before the costs of reworking become excessive. Osstelltm offers unique opportunities in both these areas and can reduce the risks of failure and of complications for implant users. The agreement will facilitate MediTeam's continued expansion in Europe and the building up of local marketing organisations in Germany, Italy and Spain in particular, which are three of MediTeam's most important markets. Integration Diagnostics, registered in London but operating from Sävedalen just outside Gothenburg in Sweden, will continue to be responsible for the development of Osstelltm along with its marketing in some other markets around the world.
