HEALTHTRUST AWARDS MEDLINE ENDOSCOPIC PACKS AND ACCESSORIES AGREEMENT

MUNDELEIN,Ill., January 15, 2013 — Medline Industries, Inc., today announced that HealthTrust has awarded Medline an agreement to provide its full line of endoscopic procedure packs, care supplies and accessories to HealthTrust members. The agreement is expected to drive significant savings and efficiencies for HealthTrust’s member facilities.

The agreement includes Medline’s ScoProtect™, a self contained system to help keep endoscopic equipment clean and protected during a procedure and transport. ScoProtect is a tote with an absorbent, polyethylene pad on which scopes are placed to minimize exposure to fluids and protect the scopes during transport to the cleaning and reprocessing area. Because ScoProtect is a covered, self-contained pack, it eliminates the need to clean transport bins.
