Mellby Gård and Akelius Foundation have agreed to cancel the agreement according to which Akelius Foundation would acquire Mellby Gård’s entire holding in AcadeMedia. The agreement was communicated by Mellby Gård in a press release on February 13th and has been cancelled today on February 18th, 2024. The initiative was taken by Mellby Gård, who asked the Akelius Foundation’s permission to withdraw from the agreement, which the Akelius Foundation then allowed. The shares in AcadeMedia will therefore remain in Mellby Gård’s holding.

"Our common ambition now is to cooperate in other ways. The Akelius Foundation and Roger Akelius’ great commitment to education deserves to be utilised in a good way and we see several opportunities ahead," says Johan Andersson, CEO of Mellby Gård.
