ALLERGISTS AVAILABLE TO ALL AT ALLERGY CLINIC IN TORONTO SHOPPING MALLS
From May 31 to June 10, the public will be able to meet allergists and ask their questions at the Allergy Clinic
TORONTO, Ontario, Friday, June 1st , 2012—Following the great success of the Allergy Clinics in past years, Merck Consumer Care is pleased to host for a third consecutive year, the Aerius Allergy Clinic in a local shopping mall.
From May 31 to June 10, 2012, the Aerius® Allergy Clinic will be present at the Toronto Eaton Centre and Square One Shopping Centre. A kiosk made especially for the occasion will be set up and brand ambassadors will be available to provide useful information to people affected by allergy symptoms. During eight days, the public will be guided by the Aerius® team through different stations to receive information on allergies.
“Allergic disease including seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis as well as urticarial (hives) affects at least 20 per cent of the population or 6 to 7 million Canadians. This accounts for a large degree of morbidity, reduced productivity and quality of life. There are a variety of treatment strategies available. Aerius in the tablet or liquid form plays a pivotal role in relieving the symptoms of the above-listed disorders,” said Dr. Raymond Stein, allergist.
Participants, allergy sufferers – or those who have someone they know affected by allergies – will also be invited to visit the healthcare section sponsored by Merck Consumer Care. In this section, they will have the opportunity to meet an allergist or pharmacist who will answer their questions and provide information about allergies and different treatment options.

The Allergy Clinic will be located in the Eaton Centre – Albert’s Way Entrance and in Centre Court in the Square One Shopping Centre.
The Allergy Clinic will also be held in Montreal (Complexe Desjardins from August 14 to August 17) and Laval (Carrefour Laval from August 23 to August 26).
