THOUSANDS PARTICIPATED IN THE NATIONAL BLACK MBA ASSOCIATION 33rd ANNUAL CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION
CHICAGO (December 8, 2011) – Building, managing, and growing their businesses and careers was a priority for thousands of participants at the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA®) 33rd Annual Conference & Exposition held Oct. 4-8 in Atlanta. During the conference, themed “Power-Up Your Profit-Ability” attendees found an ideal forum for developing their personal and professional skills, learning career advancement strategies, networking with top industry leaders, and experiencing entertainment and cultural activities. Conference highlights included keynote speeches delivered by New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal best-selling author of The Speed of Trust, Stephen M. R. Covey, Grammy®- recording artist and international philanthropist John Legend and a thought-provoking Town Hall entitled “Will the Real Role Models Please Stand Up?” presented by NBMBAA and sponsored by Nationwide Insurance, hosted by award-winning journalist and CNN/TV ONE commentator Roland Martin. One of the nation’s largest professional Career Expo with more than 350 corporations and public sector organizations were looking to interview qualified candidates to place in available positions throughout the country, an exclusive concert headlined by Grammy®- nominated Musiq Soulchild and the NBMBAA National Black Masters Golf Tournament benefitting the NBMBAA Leaders of Tomorrow® program were some of the lifestyle events made available to conference registrants.
