Helbio receives grant from the Greek government

Metacon subsidiary Helbio today announced that they have been granted a total of EUR 140,000 from the Greek government to develop, in collaboration with universities and research centers, a system which will produce either pure hydrogen or electrical power from raw biogas.
 
The project involves the design, development and demonstration, in pilot scale, of  an innovative, eco-friendly, automated and stand alone process for the production of pure H2 and/or electricity from raw biogas. The unit will comprise of two separate components which will work synergistically, producing either hydrogen  or electrical power,  depending on the business requirements and demands of the user.

"The company continues to collaborate with major Greek universities to develop products in the energy sector, based on hydrogen and fuel cells. Of particular interest is the utilization of  bio-fuels, such as biogas, for reasons of controlling the climate issues of the planet”, said Helbio CEO Xenophon Verykios.
