Digital Print Management
M-real Petőfi is planning, among others, to implement and extend the system of
Digital Print Management (DPM).
DPM involves:
• colour management - a technology to control the production process which can
ensure the greatest possible colour accuracy of the print compared to the
original image (or proof)
• digital prepress
• using the industry standard for automated print production workflows (JDF).
JDF (job definition format) files, which are becoming more and more widespread
in printing books, newspapers and commercial material, are catching on in
printing packaging materials as well. It is creating a great opportunity for
harmonizing and integrating the production equipment and the business
management system.
With the help of DPM, the extremely complex production processes,
specifications and issues of production programming will become easier to
manage, which will further improve the corporate processes and the quality of
finished goods as well.
