EUROPEAN COMMISSION CLOSED THEIR FINE PAPER INVESTIGATION

M-real Corporation was today informed that the European Commission
competition authorities have closed their investigation in relation
to fine paper. Investigation started in 2004.

Investigation related to magazine paper is still ongoing.
