Kemiart Forerunner 2004 award to Box Pak and GSK

The Kemiart Forerunner Award 2004 was given to Box Pak (Malaysia) Berhad for
its Horlicks malted food drink packaging. The brand owner is GlaxoSmithKline
Consumer Healthcare. Box Pak has truly been a forerunner, in actively marketing
packaging made of coated Kemiart liners to its customers.

The competition entries were evaluated from the brand marketing and technical
printing points of view. The winning entry, the Horlicks corrugated box, had
been upgraded from a brown printed box to a coated liner package. The new
packaging conveys a message of a healthy, hygienic and high class product and
also acts as a display package, enabling the brand owner to reduce POS costs.
It illustrates effectively Kemiart Lite's suitability for in-line flexographic
post print.

Kemiart Forerunner awards are presented to corrugated industry companies that
have been innovative in creating brand packages using coated Kemiart liners. In
their respective markets, these companies - “the Kemiart Forerunners” - have
led the way in developing new end use areas for high quality corrugated
packaging, while also adding value to the end users' products. The Forerunner
awards themselves are unique paintings by Finnish artist Satu Natunen, who uses
strong colours in combination with ethnic symbolism.
