Metsä Board Stock Exchange release Changes in company's own shares 14 November 2022 at 8:00

The Board of Directors of Metsä Board Corporation decided on 26 October 2022 to start a share buyback of company’s own shares in accordance with the authorisation given to the Board by the Annual General Meeting on 24 March 2022.

Metsä Board has completed the acquisition of its own shares. The acquisition of the company’s own shares started on 28 October 2022 and ended on 11 November 2022. During this period, Metsä Board acquired 1,000,000 B shares for an average price of EUR 7,8225 per share. The shares were acquired at the market price at the time of acquisition through trading on the regulated market of Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd. The number of B shares acquired corresponds to approximately 0.3% of the total number of Metsä Board's shares.

The acquired shares are intended to be used to implement the company's share-based incentive system and to prepare for the payment of Board fees.

The total number of Metsä Board shares is 355,512,746, of which 32,802,175 shares A and 322,710,571 shares B. Following the acquisition, the company holds 1,000,000 B shares, corresponding to approximately 0.3% of the total number of shares of the company.
