Metsä Board's Annual and Sustainability Report 2021 has been published

Metsä Board Corporation, part of Metsä Group, has published its 2021 Annual and Sustainability Report as a pdf file in Finnish and English. The combined Annual and Sustainability Report includes the Report of the Board of Directors, the Company's Financial statements and the Corporate governance statement for the financial period 1 January–31 December 2021.

The Annual and Sustainability Report is available on the Company's website at www.metsaboard.com/investors and as an attachment to this release. The printed Annual and Sustainability Report will be available on week 11 and can be ordered at www.metsaboard.com/orderpublications.

The combined Annual and Sustainability Report, published for the first time, responds to the growing demand for sustainability information and the increasing regulatory requirements for sustainability reporting. A broader sustainability section reports on how Metsä Board has progressed towards the ambitious 2030 sustainability targets and the measures taken to achieve them. The reporting entity includes disclosure of climate risks under the TCFD and SASB reporting for pulp and paper product industry.

In addition, Metsä Board has published as separate pdf files the Corporate governance statement 2021 and the Remuneration report 2021 in Finnish and English. These are available on the company's website at www.metsaboard.com/Investors and as attachments to this release.

The Financial Statements are published in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements. The main statements of the consolidated financial statements are marked with XBRL tags. The audit firm KPMG Oy Ab has provided an independent auditor’s reasonable assurance report on Metsä Board’s ESEF Financial Statements in accordance with ISAE 3000 (Revised). The ESEF financial statements are available in the zip file attached to this release and at www.metsaboard.com/Investors.

Metsä Group's 2021 Annual Review as well as the Sustainability Report have also been published in pdf formats. The pdf files are available on Metsä Group's website at www.metsagroup.com.
