Compact, robust, and small in format but large in performance: this is what
Agados s.r.o. promises with its vehicle trailers. Founded in 1991, the company
is one of the leading manufacturers of trailers in Europe. Agados uses modern
birch plywood for the floor panels of its trailers. The plywood is supplied by
Finnforest Czech as largely ready-to-install components.

The product range of Agados extends from unbraked single-axle trailers with
sheet-metal, aluminium and wooden boxes to braked multi-axle trailers with load
ratings up to 3500 kg. The primary sales market is Germany, where all major
suppliers have a presence.

- ‘The German market is essential. We are the third largest foreign supplier
there', according to Petr Ostrý, Managing Director of Agados.

Particularly in the trailer construction sector, the trend is toward
increasingly specialised models such as flatbed trailers, horse trailers, and
motorcycle trailers. The main interests of buyers are robustness, ease of use,
reliability, and long service life of the trailer.

- ‘We are nearly the only manufacturer offering trailers with fully welded
steel frames. Our steel frames feature especially high strength and rigidity.
This also ensures high transportation reliability', according to Petr Ostrý,
Managing Director of Agados.

- A hot-dip galvanised chassis and fully anodised aluminium sidewalls and
profiles ensure a high degree of immunity to weathering and long service life.

Agados uses multi-ply birch plywood from Finnforest in three different colours
for the trailer floors. Modern birch plywood has established a position in the
vehicle industry for trailer floors because it has low inherent weight, it can
withstand intensive use and still remain in very good condition, and it is easy
to work and install.

- ‘Birch plywood from Finnforest has exactly the properties we prefer for
trailer floors. It is consistent, it has a non-slip surface, and it is
resistant to wear and weathering. Our development department has also tested
other materials, but birch plywood has always proven to be the best', explained
Ostrý.

Agados and Finnforest Czech have been working together since 1995. Beside the
outstanding properties and high quality of the birch plywood, added value and
closeness to the customer are the decisive criteria for the long-term, fruitful
cooperation of the two enterprises.

- ‘Finnforest Czech supplies the plywood to us as largely ready-to-install
components. Major processing steps such as cutting to size, drilling, and edge
sealing are carried out at Finnforest Czech before shipment. We can install the
floor panels in the trailers with only a few operations.'

- Agados can rely on prompt delivery and perfect quality of the birch plywood.
The relationship between Agados and Finnforest Czech is not just cooperative,
but instead a true partnership, emphasised Ostrý.
