ANTTI OKSANEN LEAVES METSÄLIITTO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr Antti Oksanen, M.Sc., will leave the Metsäliitto Board of Directors as he
retires from the position of President and CEO of the Metsäliitto Group in the
beginning of 2006. No new member will be elected to the Board of Directors.

New President and CEO of the Metsäliitto Group, Mr Kari Jordan, will also have
the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors from the beginning of
2006. Chairman of the Board of Directors is Mr Arimo Uusitalo, M.Sc.
