Appointments in Metsäliitto's wood procurement organisation (31 August, 2005)

Metsäliitto will revise its wood procurement organisation as from the beginning
of 2006, combining the present domestic and international (Thomesto)
organisations. The purpose of the reorganisation is to increase the financial
efficiency of wood procurement. 

 

Senior Executive Vice President Martin Lillandt will be in charge of the wood
procurement organisation. In addition to Lillandt, the Board members include 

 

Juha Mäntylä, Senior Vice President, Wood Procurement, Finland

Markku Luhtasela, Senior Vice President, Wood Procurement, Russia

Heikki Karhunen, Senior Vice President, Wood Procurement, Baltic countries

Eric Lagerwall, Senior Vice President, Wood Procurement, Western Europe

Pekka Kauranen, Senior Vice President, Deliveries

Yrjö Perälä, Senior Vice President, Development and Human Resources

Harri Turunen, Senior Vice President, Finance and IT

Terhi Koipijärvi, Senior Vice President, Environment and Quality

Jaakko Punkari, Senior Vice President, Owner relations

 

Metsäliitto's annual wood procurement volume amounts to some 32 million cubic
metres.
