Appointments in Metsäliitto Wood Supply (1 April 2008)

Heikki Karhunen, M.Sc. (For), (52), has been appointed Senior Vice President,
Delivery Process, Wood Supply, as of 1 March 2008. Previously, he headed Wood
Supply, Baltic Countries. 


Delivery Process is responsible for wood deliveries to mills. Last year's
delivery volumes totalled 36 million cubic metres. 

Hannu Alarautalahti, M.Sc. (Agriculture and Forestry), MBA, (44), Vice
President, Logistics, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Wood Supply,
Baltic Countries, as of 1 April 2008. 

In 2007, Metsäliitto procured 2.4 million cubic metres of wood from the Baltic
countries.
