ARIMO UUSITALO TO CONTINUE AS THE CHAIRMAN OF METSÄLIITTO GROUP'S BOARD OF
DIRECTORS UNTIL THE END OF 2007

In its inaugural meeting, Metsäliitto Group's new Board of Directors has elected
Arimo Uusitalo, M.Sc.Agr., (64), to continue as Chairman of the Board of
Directors until the end of 2007.

The president and CEO of Metsäliitto Group, Kari Jordan, M.Sc.Econ., (50),
continues as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.
