Finnforest Corporation purchased majority of Moelven shares


The total number of shares owned by Finnforest Corporation and the total number
of shares covered by pre-acceptances related to Finnforest's intended offer for
all the shares in Moelven Industrier ASA amounts to 59,855,910 shares, equal to
50.3 %. 

Finnforest Corporation has purchased 10,450,542 shares in Moelven Industrier
ASA in the market, equal to 8.8 % of the total outstanding shares in Moelven
Industrier ASA. 

In addition, and as notified 2 May 2001, Finnforest Oyj has obtained
pre-acceptances from shareholders in Moelven Industrier ASA representing right
to purchase 49,405,368 shares, equal to 41,5 % of the total outstanding Moelven
shares.
