Kari Jordan awarded the Finnish honorary title of Mining Counsellor (12 June 2008)

The President of Finland, Tarja Halonen, has awarded Kari Jordan, President and
CEO of Metsäliitto Group, the prestigious honorary title of Mining Counsellor
on 12 June 2008. 


“I greatly appreciate the recognition shown by this award. Efforts to improve
the profitability of Metsäliitto Group will nevertheless continue in the same
way as before,” says Kari Jordan. 

The title of Mining Counsellor is awarded by the President on special
application, and is mainly conferred on distinguished CEOs of the largest
Finnish industrial companies.
