Metsä Group sells shares in Finsilva Oyj to Dasos forest fund

On 28 April 2015, Finsilva Oyj’s largest shareholders – Metsä Group’s parent company Metsäliitto Cooperative and the forest fund Taaleritehtaan metsärahasto II Ky – signed an agreement whereby Metsäliitto Cooperative will sell 30.13 per cent and Taaleritehtaan metsärahasto II Ky 19.77 per cent of the shares in Finsilva Oyj to a fund administered by Dasos Capital Oy.
The share transaction will be completed during the second quarter of 2015. The transaction will have a positive effect on the second-quarter results of both Metsä Group and its parent company Metsäliitto Cooperative. After the transaction, both sellers will each own 19.8 per cent of Finsilva Oyj. The Dasos forest fund will own 50.1 per cent of the shares. The long-term agreements between Metsäliitto and Finsilva concerning wood supply and forestry services remain in force.
