In its meeting of 25 March, the Annual General Meeting of Metsä Tissue elected
as members of the Metsä Tissue's Board of Directors Jozef Antošík (Vice Chair),
Hannu Anttila, Martti Asunta, Arto Hiltunen, Kari Jordan (Chair), Juhani Järvi,
Tuomo Lähdesmäki and Antti Remes. 

Arto Hiltunen, M.Sc. (Econ.), was elected as a new member of the Board.

Hiltunen has worked in several executive positions in retailing and recently
resigned from the position of Chairman and CEO of SOK due to health reasons.
Hiltunen will replace Tom Liljeström, who has acted as a Board member since
2004. 

The Annual General Meeting approved the Board of Director's proposal of the
distribution of the distributable funds and resolved that a dividend of EUR
1.23 be paid per A share, the first such payment since the company
re-structured in 2004.
