Metsä Wood strengthens its presence in Denmark

Metsä Wood strengthens its presence in Denmark by setting up an own sales and marketing team. The new team will focus on the sales and marketing of load-bearing structures: Kerto®, Finnjoist I-beams, Leno CLT and framing solutions in Denmark. The birch plywood sales in Denmark will be handled directly by Metsä Wood’s Plywood Business Line. Metsä Wood’s current partner Moelven Danmark continues as the representative for Metsä Wood in Thermo Wood and sawn timber products.

Our five person team will consist of current Moelven Team Beam employees strengthened with additional sales resource. We thank Moelven for their close cooperation over the years,” says Ari Tiukkanen, Senior Vice President of Metsä Wood’s Building Products.
The new arrangement is beneficial for both parties. “Moelven Group wants to focus on distribution of the products that fit to the parent company’s offered range the best,” Michael Helmershøj, Director of Moelven Danmark explains.
The new Metsä Wood team will be located in Metsä Tissue’s Copenhagen office, also part of Metsä Group. Logistics handling services remain unaffected. With regard to orders for the above mentioned products, Moelven Danmark will handle all deliveries until 31 March 2013. Orders for delivery after 31 March will be handled by Metsä Wood.
