Metsäliitto Cooperative’s participation in Metsä Board’s share offering

Metsä Board Corporation, part of Metsä Group, has today published a stock exchange release announcing that the company’s Board of Directors has decided on an approximately EUR 100 million share offering. Metsä Board will use the gross proceeds from the offering to finance the final steps of the company’s transformation plan.
As Metsä Board’s principal shareholders, Metsäliitto Cooperative and its subsidiaries have given an irrevocable commitment to subscribe for their pro-rata share, amounting to approximately EUR 43 million, in the share offering.
Metsäliitto Cooperative and its subsidiaries own in total 42.53 percent of the shares and control 62.25 percent of the voting rights in Metsä Board.
