METSÄLIITTO COOPERATIVE TO SELL HARTOLA MODULE FACTORY'S BUSINESS OPERATIONS TO
FINNDOMO

Metsäliitto's Wood Products Industry (Finnforest) continues to concentrate on its
core business. On 10 July 2006, Metsäliitto Cooperative and Finndomo signed a
contract, according to which the business operations of the Hartola module
factory will be transferred to Finndomo as of 1 September 2006. The sixty-five
employees working in the factory will be transferred to Finndomo as old
employees, and the terms of their existing employment contracts will remain
valid.

"We will be concentrating on manufacturing wood-based elements as part of the
building systems development process", says Executive Vice President of
Metsäliitto's Wood Products Industry Ole Salvén.

As a result of the acquisition, Finndomo will acquire a state-of-the-art module
factory, enabling the delivery of module-based houses for large urban development
sites and end-users. Finnforest will retain the ownership of one element line
located in the factory premises. The line produces, among others, elements for
Finndomo's Hartola factory.
