Metsäliitto Wood Products Industry improves operations by consolidating its
business lines. Furthermore, sales is organised to provide better service to
selected customer segments.

“A new aspect of our business model is the organisation of the sales of
products and services by customer segment. We work more closely with our
customers in order to identify their needs and offer products and solutions
that meet these needs,” says Ole Salvén, Group Executive Vice President, Wood
Products Industry. “Our objective is also to increase the share of upgrading in
production across the board. By combining the Kerto® and Plywood business
operations, we can benefit from the synergies of production, product
development, and the supply chain and this enables us to serve our customers
better and more effectively. Developing wood-based structural solutions for the
building industry is an important growth area for us. Therefore, Building
Products form a separate business line that focuses on wood construction
expertise”.

The operations of Metsäliitto Wood Products Industry is divided into four
business lines. The Solid Wood business line, led by Timo Karinen, produces raw
material primarily for internal processing and industrial planing, as well as
customised products and components for the wood working industry.

Lasse Wikström is in charge of the Engineered Wood business line which combines
the Kerto and Plywood business lines. The line manufactures highly processed
Kerto and plywood mill products for construction and industrial customers in
particular.

Mika Kallio is in charge of the Building Products business line that
manufactures customised products particularly for the construction industry;
glulam in Hartola in Finland and I-beams in the UK. Finnforest Merk in Germany
specialises in the deliveries of advanced wooden structures. The development
and production of structural components mainly uses Kertopuu®.

The person responsible for the Home and Living business line is Joni
Lukkaroinen. A total of ten upgrading and distribution centres in Finland,
France and the UK operate under the line management. The line is responsible
for processing Metsäliitto Wood Product Industry's basic products for home and
garden constructions, renovation and interior decoration, and for providing
services for these areas.

In addition to the above mentioned persons, the Metsäliitto Wood Products
Industry management team consists of Timo Kouri, Senior Vice President, R&D,
Sourcing and Logistics; Terhi Koipijärvi, Metsäliitto Group's Senior Vice
President, Environmental Affairs and Corporate Responsibility; Juha Kauppila,
Senior Vice President, Human Resources; and Olli-Pekka Vanhanen, who starts in
the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy, on 15 March 2010.
