On 8 August 2005, Metsäliitto Cooperative's Board of Directors approved the
integration plan for the company's Finnish and international wood procurement
organisations. The functions of Thomesto Oy's headquarters and Tehdasmittaus Oy
will be merged with those of Metsäliitto Cooperative's headquarters in Espoo.

“The goal of the integration is to increase the financial efficiency of wood
procurement, to simplify operational processes and targets, to use resources
more efficiently and, in the long run, to reduce costs,” says Martin Lillandt,
Executive Vice President, Metsäliitto Cooperative.

As far as possible, personnel affected by the changes will be offered job
transfers or retirement.

The new organisation, which will be operational from 1st January 2006, will be
responsible for the procurement and measurement of some 32 million m3 of wood
annually.
