Planned maintenance shutdowns cut Metsä Group’s chemical and high-yield pulp production by 75,000 tonnes during the autumn

Metsä Group has scheduled several planned annual maintenance shutdowns at its pulp mills for the autumn of 2019. At Rauma, the shutdown took place on week 36. At Kemi, the maintenance shutdown is scheduled for the week 38, and at Husum, Sweden, for the weeks 38–40.
These maintenance shutdowns will cut the production of chemical pulp by approximately 50,000 tonnes, compared to full production.
Additionally, the annual maintenance shutdowns at the high yield-pulp mills in Joutseno and Kaskinen, are scheduled for the autumn of 2019. They will cut production by over 25,000 tonnes.
