Public meeting concerning the environmental impact assessment of a biorefinery project

Gasum Oy, Helsingin Energia and Metsä Fibre have plans to build a biorefinery in the Metsä Fibre Joutseno pulp mill area in Lappeenranta. The refinery would produce wood-based biogas from a renewable raw material. The gas would be transferred through Gasum's gas network to the Vuosaari power plant of Helsingin Energia, for example.

The environmental impact assessment report on the project will be presented at a public meeting on Monday, 9 September 2013 at 6 p.m. at the auditorium of Metsä Fibre Joutseno at Haukilahdentie 27.
