Seppo Pursiainen to be Business Development Director in Strategic Investments and Risto Joronen Mill Director in Joutseno

Mr. Seppo Pursiainen, M.Sc. (Eng.) has been appointed Director, Business
Development, Strategic Investments from 1st September, 2001. He is responsible
for certain international projects in Metsä-Botnia. Mr. Pursiainen will report
to Mr. Timo Piilonen, Director of Strategic Investments. Mr. Pursiainen has
been the Director of Joutseno Pulp Mill from 1995. 

Mr. Risto Joronen, M.Sc. (Eng.) has been appointed Director of Joutseno Pulp
Mill from 1st September, 2001. He will report to Mr. Ilkka Hämälä, Director,
Production. Recently he has been in charge of Joutseno Pulp-2000 investment
