Metsä tissue corporation's board of directors proposes amendement to articles of association

METSÄ TISSUE CORPORATION'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS PROPOSES AMENDEMENT TO ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION Metsä Tissue Corporation's Board of Directors decided at its meeting to propose to the Annual General Meeting to be held on 13 March 2001 that the company's Articles of Association be amended as detailed below. Board's proposal for amendment of the Articles of Association: The Board of Directors proposes that § 6 of the Articles of Association be amended in accordance with the revised Companies Act to read that, in order to take part in a general meeting of shareholders, shareholders must inform the company at the latest by the date stated in the invitation to the meeting, which may be at the earliest ten (10) days before the meeting. Under the present Articles of Association, the last date for notifications may be at the earliest five (5) days before the meeting.
