Metsä Tissue is developing its organization

METSÄ TISSUE IS DEVELOPING ITS ORGANIZATION Metsä Tissue aims to develop into a significant tissue company in the Northern European market. To utilise its resources in the best possible manner the company has decided to change its operating model by moving from a model based on strong local organisations to a structure that better supports unified operations. Therefore, the company changes its organisational structure on 1.7.2001 as follows: Metsä Tissue's hygiene tissue business will be organised as follows: Supply Team will be responsible for production and the development of mills including purchase, production, product development and logistics. The team is led by Director Lars Warvne. Consumer Team will be responsible for the marketing and sales of consumer products. In addition to his position as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hannu Anttila is also Head of the Consumer Team. Director Paavo Liestalo is responsible for planning the marketing of consumer products. He is also in charge of marketing and sales in the Nordic countries, the Baltic countries and Poland. Director Hubert Schönbein is in charge of marketing and sales in Continental Europe and the United Kingdom. Away from Home Team will be responsible for the marketing and sales of large-scale consumer products. The team is led by Director Kari Muttilainen. Other businesses will be organised as follows: The company's table top tissue business and the Stotzheim Mill will form the Table Top Team which will be responsible for the production, marketing and sales of table top tissue products. The team will be headed by Director Olli Matti Tahvanainen. Baking & Cooking Team will be responsible for the production, marketing and sales of baking and cooking paper products. The team is led by Director Raija Mörö. Mr. Hannu Anttila acts as Chief Executive Officer of Metsä Tissue.
