Outotec receives additional order from the Russian Petropavlovsk Group
Outotec has agreed on the delivery of concentrator technology for the Petropavlovsk Group in Malomyr gold mine in the Russian Far East. The contract was signed with LLC Malomyrskiu rudnik, which is a part of the Russian's third biggest gold producer Petropavlovsk Group. The contract value is EUR 25 million and it complements the pressure leaching process technology contract Outotec and Petropavlovsk disclosed in May 3, 2011. The order will be booked in third quarter order intake.
Outotec delivers technology solution for flotation, thickening, filtration, and for the entire process automation of the concentrator. The delivery is a part of Petropavlovsk's process technology development needed for processing sulphide gold ore. The equipment will be delivered within the next eight months.
"Eco-efficient and sustainable use of ores with declining metal content require more advanced and new processing technologies. Outotec develops its technologies continuously. We have joined R&D forces with our customers which enables us to achieve results that all parties - and especially the environment - benefit the most. Outotec's continued co-operation with Petropavlovsk is a great example of such partnership", says Outotec's CEO Pertti Korhonen.
