Stoke-on-Trent – July 8, 2013

One of the UK’s largest independent contract hire and leasing companies, Arnold Clark Vehicle Management, has renewed its Michelin tyre policy until 2015 – a deal likely to see 25,000 replacement tyres fitted per year.

The leasing company has gradually increased its fitment of Michelin tyres over the past 12 years, and the extended contract cements Michelin as first choice fit on its fleet of 35,000 cars and vans.

According to Administration Manager Iain Grant, fitting Michelin tyres provides safety benefits for his customers as well as adding value through technical support for the business.

He explained: “For us, Michelin tyres provide the best mileage compared to any other premium brand, and for our customers their safety credentials are second to none.

“We have a long-standing relationship with Michelin and the team there are always prepared to go the extra mile.

“They have provided tremendous support throughout our partnership, from offering us advice and information on the benefits of cold weather tyres to keeping us up to date with new legislation.

“They have kept us informed about tyre labelling developments, and have also thought ahead and advised us about future laws surrounding tyre pressure monitoring systems.

“Having this information allows us to give practical advice on these subjects and provide a better service for our customers.”

He added: “Michelin is a forward-thinking company which manufactures quality tyres, and our customers recognise it as a trusted brand which they have confidence in.”

Michelin Key Account Manager, Andrew Guile, said: “Arnold Clark Vehicle Management has been a valued customer of ours for more than a decade, so we are delighted to have secured their business for a further two years and look forward to continuing our partnership.”

Based in Glasgow, Arnold Clark Vehicle Management offers a wide range of vehicle makes and models for contract hire and leasing throughout the UK. The company is part of the Arnold Clark Group, which also operates 145 car sales dealerships and more than 120 service centres nationwide.
