Michelin has appointed Jason Cooper to the position of UK & Republic of Ireland Operational Sales Manager for its truck and bus division.

Cooper, 45, brings more than 17 years of experience with Michelin to the role. This includes the last 18 months as Sales Process and Training Manager for Michelin, and four years in a dual role as Sales Process and Training Manager and National Sales Manager for the car tyre product line in Delhi, India.

The new role sees Cooper report directly to Guy Heywood, Commercial Director – Truck and Bus, and lead a national team of Sales Account Managers across the UK and Republic of Ireland – the largest specialist commercial vehicle tyre sales force in the industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Cooper says: “To maintain and grow Michelin’s presence as market leader in the UK replacement sector for commercial vehicle tyres I want to focus on our end-user and distribution approach, making sure our account managers continue to give value to our customers. With strong links with our marketing team as well as our national fleets, we will continue to extend our base of fleet customers.”

Cooper expects to draw on his extensive sales management and training experience to drive results, backed up by the continued strong performance of Michelin tyres in the marketplace.

Cooper is a second generation Michelin employee – his father served 35 years with the Company.
