Micro Systemation signs distribution agreement in Eastern Europe Micro Systemation has signed a distribution agreement with the Czech company ComDis. ComDis will be distributing the Micro Systemation software-based GSM modem SoftGSM in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The agreement will initially be for an order of 400 units of SoftGSM. The agreement will give ComDis sole distribution rights in the above markets for a limited period. ComDis is a well-established distributor in Eastern Europe, with offices in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The company is at present focused on the production of PC cards, modems and memory cards. This is Micro Systemation's first agreement in the Eastern European market. Even if the Eastern European mobile telephone markets are not as highly developed as those in the West, the market potential and interest in mobile data communication solutions are extremely high, says Henrik Tjernberg, Micro Systemation's Managing Director. The existing infrastructure in these countries is often of poor quality, so data communication through GSM is going to be the principle solution for many applications, adds Henrik Tjernberg.
